I watch this show all the time...some of the stuff Shawn does behind Smokey Robinson is soo spot on, and in all the episodes I've watched, he's never played a superfluous note: so tasteful and so right for every song: his drums always sound beautiful, as do his cymbals.

is one of my favourite songs from the show.
oh wait, so is this - great groove:

Great stuff as usual. Shawn is such a good drummer. Why is it again he wears that garden glove on his left hand while playing?

I usually wear a glove on my left hand to absorb the shock of bashing out 2&4 all night.

Thanks Moose!

It doesn't make sense from the point of view that I know of plenty of drummers who play 7 days a week
and don't wear gloves, but I guess it doesn't really matter. His playing is great. Whatever works for you.

I've caught a few episodes of that show and have absolutely loved every bit of it! Very cool arrangements, great players, cool guests and stellar production....what else do you need? I took a look at "Did It In A Minute" and noticed something odd about Shawn....what's up with the big work glove and duct tape on the stick with the left hand? Did anyone else notice? Maybe he hurt his hand somehow and did it to get thru the shoot? It looks like his grip is really loose----almost like he can barely wrap his fingers around the stick. It certainly didn't affect his playing one bit but I just thought it was odd. Anyone?

i look forward to every 15th of the month to watch the show. Pelton's feel is incredible. he so gets it! he's played with so many grade A artists. love his touch and feel. i wish Daryl would stop wearing the shades all the time. even at the dinner table. come on. there is another guy who plays for him when he's not there. plays trad. he's a good player also. he just need to get the mad face under control. the mix on the drums is perfection. makes an ok player sound great. the show has turned me on to so many great artists.
