If you ever thought, "Man, I don't have enough photos of Sting and enough videos of Sting talking about himself," this is the app for you. But if you're looking for amazing performances from his sidemen, this app won't thrill you. If you've somehow never seen the Bring on the Night video, there are a few notable videos from that documentary -- including I Burn for You. I would better suggest you simply go buy that DVD, because your DVD collection really sucks without it.

But Vinnie could only be found in three videos from the 60th Birthday Concert doing some very sparse stuff because the whole focus was on Bruce Springstein, Lady Gaga, Rufus Wainwright et al performing Sting songs while Sting did ... not much on stage.

Stevie Wonder singing Fragile was a singular inspiring moment, though. Brandford and Herbie doing their thing on Consider Me Gone was pretty hip, too.

I did enjoy going through the timeline and looking at the photos, and seeing the original handwritten lyrics and Sting talking about how songs came about was interesting to me. But it's hard to sit and watch a lot of it in a row, because the whole app is one gigantic Sting ego stroke.

So, I finally sat down last night to watch it, then thought "I'll have to post a review on HOD"...but Gaddabout has done it for me, very eloquently and accurately....and I toally concur with his two stand out tracks...Stevie has an amazing voice, especially when he's not in full screaming mode: I found this to be the best version of this overexposed song that I've heard for a loooooooong time. Vinnie's ride cymbal sound on Consider Me Gone is just perfect for this song/treatment...wonder what it was?
