Hey Steve, it's all you can write to Dave "Thanks for sharing the vid! Great tune." :o
Come on bro', it's a bid deal what he wrote about you on his Facebook's fan page, except if you did it in private of course... ;-)

He's clever too, because by posting your video, I'm sure he gonna sell a lot of that song, don't you think so guys ?

Anyway, well done bro', very happy for you. :-)

Hi Rodge. Yeah there's been some offline exchanges regarding the posting.
It's definitely a win-win in terms of exposure/promotion.

Yes! Nice take. It felt like you were really going for it during the solo section, and I also liked how much restraint you had on the rest of the tune, as you could have blown your load on the whole damn thing. Congrats!
Moderation's all well and good, just don't overdo it.

All I can say, other than that it is GREAT, is that the intensity was constant all the way thru. Great playing. The solo was tasteful, and did not sound like the whole song was just a set-up for the solo to end all solos! LOL Way to go Steve!

BTW I bought a tune from his site as well! And plan on shedding it for fun.

Hey Steve,

What lens did you get? And while I'm at it for what video camera?

Tamron 10-24mm f 3.5-4.5

The recording method was the usual... external mic plugged into the Cannon 7d + the edirol roland r-09 audio recorder. Pretty ghetto setup really compared to most folks fully micing these days. Gets the job done I suppose mostly due to the small room size.

I did a version of this song to pimp out my endorsements.

So hard...So hard... Steve's right the guitar solo section is hell haha...

There's so many different ways to go, it's hard to believe there's only 2 guys playing so much going on rhythmically.

It would be cool if anybody that has the time,.. and it will take time,,,, haha downloads the tune off of Weckl's site and does a version.

I scoured the net for other peoples interpretation of what to play.. Steve's is the best I think besides Weckl's Vic Firth version. But that one doesn't count because it doesn't have Will Lees insane bass line..
