I didn´t knew it and I love it.
Simon is the most faithful drummer I know, as far as his drumset and sound from his "early" years until now.

I really like Simon, but that vid didn´t make it for me... There´s some cool ideas but the solo is too long and repetitive at some points. He seems bored and not into responding many questions either. :(

That entire Hiromi DVD is available for purchase, and is well worth the $$$! (You know, actually paying to support musicians and projects.)

I am really starting to love (and learn) that music, if Hiromi comes through your town, it's a must see! Simon also has a new CD done, and a European solo tour booked for the future.

The cool thing is that I just interviewed Simon this week. I sat right behind him for an entire night, then we spent about 5 hours (!!!) together talking after a Hiromi gig. I have to say... What a sincerely nice guy. His career has been VERY interesting. He is a wonderful interview. Our interview was honest and full of surprises, and EDUCATION!!! I am writing it now, and it will be in an upcoming Percussive Notes.

Actually I have a BUNCH of interviews coming to print for the PAS,
Stay tuned,
MSG

Hi nomsgmusic,
I didn´t know that the Marciac concert was available in DVD, so I deleted the youtube link I posted above.
(I´ve just realized you posted that DVD info in the previous page)

Heard a few cuts from her newest album Move. Don't like it. It's more of the same like Voice. The tunes I heard sounded bland and stale. Watched a little of the YouTube clip that Juan posted. Good stuff. Can't really hear AJ that well. We all get about supporting the artist. No need to bring it up. It's like talking about how knots occur when you untie your shoe.

Simon had a clinic in Finland and I was sitting in front of his bass drum 2 metres away :) What a great person he is!!
He played wth Hiromi and Anthony Jackson (saw him for the first time) and they were on fire. I haven't been listening that kind of music lately but it was great show!

Is he playing those new Star drums yet?

The drums he had in Finland were rental Starclassic kit from Germany but he actually played with Kumu 14x5,5 birch snare (A Finnish brand). I guess he liked the snare because he bought it (or were given?).
