This was ridiculously tight groovin'

Anyone that says there is no good music today...give them this video...
greatness is greatness...they guys are great. Who are they? Tell
me this isn't just some talented musicians jamming!

Drummers was crazy good...tightness to perfection. His light hat work
tasty as a fresh pizza!

I've been saying it for years: Rather than waste time playing shitty clubs
where you can't guarantee good sound, just record a bunch of great sounding videos
of your band and put them on YouTube. If it's really good, it will catch on. If it isn't,
you'll know that it doesn't have wings and that you need to try something else.

Hey, the world has changed...gone are the days of Tom Petty loading his van w/t boys
and driving cross country playing any gig he can to develop an audience over years.
I do think if a label backs you and does a blitz campaign, gets you on the morning shows,
late night spots on TV...rub noses with some profile stars...that dynamic is as significant
as the music itself to create an image...and pop music is image driven!

Point being, if talent was the measure of success, most of our pop icons would be quickly replaced.
It is a balance of talent and hitting that Q rating...youtube could do this or represent this
better than most outlets...I know I emailed this Adele vid to two friends immediately.

Great players for sure. Every tune they cover is the same stuff over and over. No need for an album cause every song would sound the same.

Yeah I'm with Kurtis, they are really great but one song is enough for me, I repeat, they are very talented, but at the end it's boring for me... :o
I come from Tain, Vinnie, Omar, Jeff, Fish, Stewart, and many more...

I was happily surprised by their first 1-2 tunes.
But trying to make 100 syncopations/arranges in every bar makes the opposite reaction on me.

For me, the groove and the melody suffer, specialy in this last Adele cover.
Their arrangement ideas are great, but I would measure/dose them.
If not, it seems a syncopation overdose.

But, of course, we are talking about tastes.

These guys would be more listenable if they stuck to the groove and more melody lines. Throw in that syncopated stuff from hell on the bridge or here and there sparingly. It's a tad over the top. I like it a lot. I can only take so much before my head spins out of... This is what these guys do. They have their own thing going. Just be nice if they tone it down a bit. Sky is the limit with these guys.

All they need to do is change the words and one note in the chorus's and they have original tunes. This song sounds almost nothing like the original.

Never understood the BIG fuzz about them... To me, it sounds hyper processed, to the point were it lacks soul... (btw, the singer sounds to much like Stevie)
Drums sound samples-reinforced and quantized (I know people are gonna swear that they´re not...).

Cool stuff for sure, but there´s plenty of greater things on youtube...

For some reasons, all their studio videos sound like they're not playing for real. I'd love to hear them play something live once. Nevertheless, good ideas and playing.

This is like the third song I hear from them, thanks for posting this! I think it is all-round fantastic what they're doing. Although I also doubt they can pull it of with that much pocket, live. Production is the best you can do within the genre. I could listen to that bass-line for a week, flawless and beautiful. To me there is no 'overplaying' at all....try some Vinnie stuff for that ;-] Drums do not get 'in the way' and that quarter-note-beat he kicks in, is running on nitro. Loved it!
