Even so, props to Dirty Loops.

I know this type or "covers" are made just for fun and making laugh... (search for Iron Maiden´s bossa nova covers)

BUT...
I like this "fake" version more than the original. I´m no joking.
His arrangements, armony and groove are beautiful...
What a excellent cover !!
(put real instruments and better sound to this and it would be a masterpiece)
Thanks, I shared it in my facebook

And it seems more to this song, the first and the BEST song of her that I heard some years ago...

(talking about OVER THE TOP: include Adele´s Hair arrangement and the "I move/change camera every 2 seconds" of the DVD)

Having been obsessing over Dirty Loops for the past couple of hours now, again: These are f#ckin' great! What are we talkin' about here?

The Adele cover totally rocks, let's not too hung up on - what?- art? - It's an Adele tune for gawdsakes and they rock it. OK, we may be a little put off by the innuendo in the Rihanna cover, but it's nothing we can't deal with. Oh, you've heard the Rihanna cover. Sometimes, maybe, I've been known to like it rough, too.... Shhh.... I didn't say that....

They seem to have an incredible amount of talent and determination. No doubt they have put a lot of time into their instruments and the group playing. Its just a shame that I cant ever look at them as anything but a novelty. Everytime i see this thread rise to the top of the pile I kind of sigh wondering what tune are they going to work so hard at "making hipper than the original". They arent that far from Weird Al in my opinion. Instead of re-writing the words into something hilarious, they make Adele into circus music. I think its a waste personally, but they do seem to be having fun which I guess is really the main point.

I think it's great that a band like Dirty Loops is getting some major rep- they didn't get big for original music, but for their musicianship and what they did with other tunes.

Playing covers seems to get frowned upon these days, almost instantly, but it's nothing new. Look at the Motown stuff, look at bebop, the 60's/70's, etc. People were playing other peoples tunes all the time, and making money doing it (and so were the original songwriters). I don't want to hear an exact carbon copy of a tune, but Dirty Loops are taking it to a whole new level and I think that especially in today’s shit musical climate they're a breath of fresh air.

I sorta wish they'd release an album already. I've been a fan for... a couple yrs now.
