Oh boy, I'm really sad when a guy that I don't like plays the same drum than me... :x :x :x :x
I come from Tain, Vinnie, Omar, Jeff, Fish, Stewart, and many more...

And notice the difference in the artists news with respect to the headline

"Gretsch proudly welcomes Mike Johnston"

vs

"Gretsch welcomes Keith Carlock ......"

..... Proudly ?????? WTF?

Well it's clearly "buiness" oriented, that Johnson guy touches a lot of kids thru internet, anyway...

Yeah, if Gretsch "welcomes" Mike Johnston, it may be time for me to sell my drums. I just threw up a little in my mouth.

Yeah, his mole (or moles) continue to spam my videos on Youtube, telling me how much I want to be like him, how he invented linear drumming, and how he is doing things no one has done before...etc. Now Ill get to hear how he "had the sound in his head" and Gretsch was the only company capable of providing it.

As far as Carlock, he's going to be one the grooviest drummer on the planet, weather he plays Gretsch, Yamaha, or a wet cardboard box. :)
