Deep Purple was a huge influence for me and Jon Lord a big part of it. Great player. RIP Mr. Lord.

I spent my early teens following DP, at the time in the late 70's they had split up. My best friend and I dreamed of the day that they would reform and in about 1984 they did. We were there at Knebworth-UK in the mud, one of my best ever gig's.

WOW...he sounds just like Simon Phillips. I am always amazed how these "ROCKERS" sound so tame off stage.
