The sound is a bit funny, but there's some awesome hihat work (and more goodies) in this one:
Working with the artwork for Virgil's upcoming album is going great. It's so much fun to be involved in this
and I think it's going to be awesome.

It's always an awesome experience revisiting Virgil and his work after some time, this man never ceases to amaze me. His time is absolutely immaculate. The moment in 6:11 when the melody comes back and he hits the "one" spot on is like witnessing something unreal

I'm happy you enjoy them! We are working on the cover art for his upcoming album. So far we are really pleased with
how it looks and the album is killer. Here's a little (26+ minutes) christmas present from Virg that I just uploaded:

Thanks for sharing!
May I offer some critique non-music related?
I don't know who was responsible for shooting that concert but the chosen angles are poor in my opinion.
The front angle...you can't see what Virgil is doing. Here's a better angle >>>
The fish-eye shots all don't make much sense to me either.

I agree, @amoergosum
In all honesty, it comes down to Virgil having the time to set it up before going on stage and sometimes
it works out better than others. He also relies on getting the sound off the board and sometimes that's screwed up as well.
He's doing the best he can while on tour and I encourage him to do it more, because we almost always get good feedback
from fans when we share that kind of stuff.

That's pretty cool. Maybe you could take some screenshots of good angles and send them
to him so he could try to position the cams accordingly.
He should set up one cam like this for example >>>

Here's an old classic. 16 years ago this year - time flies!
The first minute and a half, and the last 45 seconds of this particular video clip has some of the most inspired
drumming I ever saw, complete with the initial double bass drum roll, the heavy back beats, the intricate mirror pattern fills on
the bass drum (@ 0:42) the overall original style and the final outrageous virtuoso shredding.

Mind boggling drumming from Virgil in this new high end soundcloud audio clip from The Baked Potato, with Holdsworth and Crawford:
https://soundcloud.com/virgil_donati/le ... holdsworth
The first 45 seconds hold some of the most amazing drumming I've ever heard.
Oh, and there's definitely too much talent around this drumset
