I found both interviews very interesting. It seems Branford's character has remained relatively clear from being jaded over the years (outside of where his ego and ambitions took him of course).

Funny- the mention of teenagers having music separate from adults back in the 50's is strangely relevant in today's world. I tend to always bring up the concept of what's considered good vs bad, with the line being so fine today due to the stature of our culture and the intelligence of the individuals in it. The way guys like this are able to break things down to that extent and recognize not only the cycle of our culture, but also detect (this is more in regards to the second interview) how the culture intervenes with everything else is something I really admire. My brain works in a very similar fashion, especially on topics of this nature.

Interesting how he turned down Miles though. I can see from his point of view why he turned down the gig.

Enjoyed the interviews. Liked the Bob Costas one the best. There were quite a few things I disagree with him on pop music.
