I just got Blade's CD Mama Rosa. Apart from being totally speechless from his playing and singing, I have to say that the album is absolutely incredible. Thank you HOD forum for this personal discovery! ;)



(I know this clip is a repost probably but I think this is the only one from that CD on YT)

that was seriously one of the nicest pieces of music I have ever heard in my entire life! that kicked so much ass !!

Brian Blade is such a monster player... everything he plays is so free, yet he has total control of the song...
he throws a back beat for half a bar and then switches to these beautiful 16th note patterns...
