In fact most of the drummers I know that I mention this to have no idea who he is. Including students... I think I've had one or two out of hundreds that have shown me his videos and asked to learn what he was teaching...

I think it's easy to seem bigger/more important ect on the net than you are in real life because the net levels the playing field if you are smart at marketing.. MJ is a master at that as is Drumeo..Another solid teaching site built solely from online marketing..

If you want to see where drumming is going, just follow MJ, you're in good hands. Rick Gratton and Gary Chaffee??? I guarantee you Mike has sold more books then they have. His new book Groove Freedom is going to be another best seller. And Drumeo, those guys try to sign up for Mikes drum camps, which are sold out too! Mike is changing the world, you all are hanging on to the past.

What are you 12 years old?
You must think that McDonalds serves the worlds best food. The numbers sold mean nothing at all.
Again whats in his books that put him on the same level of a Gary Chaffe, Rick Gratton, Ed Soph?
Understand???

Ask the drum teachers all over the world who use his books to teach from. They dont use Gary Chaffee or Rick Graton or Ed Sophs books anymore. Mike has changed the game.

Hmm.. Mike is changing the world.. Drumeo guys sign up for drum camps?
Well,. lets use the only stats I can accurately find..

Mikes facebook page only has just under 10,00 likes . Youtube Page ,..76,500 subscribers

Drumeos facebook,..53,000,.. Youtube page....221,000

The market has spoken,... Drumeo is a more popular teaching site... Thus better by alot.. A L O T!!!!!
Weird cause those guys don't do anything but be nice guys working hard. I never see anybody trashing other youtube pages or creating contiversial forum threads on behalf of them... I wonder why they are so much popular/better?

I'm pretty sure they don't use Mike's book at Berklee they do use Gary Chaffee's
Rick Gratton has done clinics at Berklee.. Mike hasn't...

I wonder if Mike's Lessons is actually a marketing cult rather than a drum lessons site..
All the forum/youtube dwellers sound exactly the same.. Like there's a manifesto.

I think Mike should publish "Mike's Marketing Manifesto" Better web traffic through negative attack ads. 7 steps to make the competition look bad and you look great... Even if they hate you they check it out anyway,... More traffic, More money!!!!!

I'm still working on the linear approach by Kim Plainfield. He has this system of a unique voicing for every note value. Now that is a different deal. Also Garibaldi has a smart way of working with linear concepts. What is new with Mike's book?

Wow is right. Nina you come across as a mindless drone, and not to be taken seriously.

Reminds me of Branford:
"The idea of what you are is actually more important than you actually being that"....

If you had approached this topic with other taste and less AWESOME, GROUNDBREAKING, GOD HAS SIGNED UP TOO, MOZART CALLED MIKE..... then this topic had been productive for Mike.

Then you fix it with every post you do. :?

I insist, if Johan Sebastian Bach signs up in MJ website, I will take you seriously.
