^^ Wow - the actual proof stuff is so out there. Such cool creative phrasing. Herbie nailing the hits too.

The open solo didn't do too much for me.

Steve says "opening solo did not do too much for me."

I KNOW - RIGHT?

When Vinnie solos freely like that, sure, his colors, shadings, etc are cool, but
his genius lies in how he can play against the time and his unique phrasing.

The clip above this where he is showcased shining on Actual Proof is his
forte.

I look forward to this "Vintage video...." ( I don't really know what that means)
to get my daily dose (fix) of Colaiuta daily magic....Please continue.

I can't say that I'm overwhelmed by either of those videos...quite the opposite, actually.

I dug the open solo. But it's like a moment in time flying by...it's kind of strange how many are being captured and later, scrutinized (out of context).

Thank you for the 1983 Zildjian Day.

Yes, my physician would definitely script this for my daily dose, IF IT WERE 1983.

But, since I have seen this so many times, to view it now would be an OVERDOSE !

My medical management calls for new and unseen Colaiuta footage daily. If I don't get that,
I develop nasty withdrawal symptoms.

So, any new VC material that can be posted will help me to not get hooked on older footage.
