What's that thing next to the kit your headphones are plugged in to? People use it - I have no idea what that is...

Is like a orified mixing monitor with nobs. I plug mi headphones there and just adjust volume. Nothing else.

I like the fill @0:34. This is what I call the 1,3,5 minute exercise. Play the SAME
groove for one minute, then three, then five without change to lock into feel and
time. Sounds simple, but few really discipline to JUST play a time groove and record/
evaluate after. Studio drumming 101 I guess. The simpler, the better for this exercise.
