Yeah, I second that. Probably one of the most personal interviews you'll ever read in a drum magazine. Amazing.

I agree, a great interview that covered a wide range of topics. Very touching.

His playing on Gary Wright's 'Dream Weaver' and Sly Stone's 'Fresh' had a big influence.

I recently became reacquainted with an article he wrote in Modern Drummer called Quintuplet Rock. Great stuff!

Guy has literally seen it all. From being super innovative at the bleeding edge, then Bowie, Roxy, Floyd, Waters, Lennon, Simon...crazy when you think about it.

Finally read it while flying to my hometown last week... BRILLIANT interview indeed... Thanks for the heads up... Newmark is quite humble, not pretentious, he knows himself and is comfortable with what he's all about... That comes with maturity too... His transparency on his personal journey is quite inspiring... I really like Mover's perspectives in his interviews... Thumbs up!!
