Did he get the MF fills out of order? :)

He sounds so damn relaxed.

Yes he did! I remember him transcribing those fills in Modern Drummer!

This was interesting as compared to the video on previous page where he discusses
his current set-up...

The Trial by Fire kit that never was...

Just watched this.... anyone notice that Steve's playing open grip on the hi-hat? Wonder if it's to keep himself engaged :-)

How would you summarise the impact the internet has had on your career?
For me, I’d say the impact has been pretty negative. I used to have a record company financing my albums and they’d sell well enough to allow me to make another. That’s over because people aren’t paying for music. I haven’t seen an upside to that. Royalties go down to pretty much nothing. Even with subscription services, it’s easy to hear anyone’s record and not buy it. It’s a joke.

Do you use streaming services?
I use the Apple one. I just started a trial on that. Not Spotify or Pandora out of principle.

June 8th FULL show two weeks ago.
...I did not record Line of Fire & Escape. We also beat the crowd
out & didn't record lovin' touchin' squeezin'
...guy is shaky at times.

Watching this, I now why a "rock" drummer needs to be a little showy! Smith looks
like he's playing to kiddie songs. I don't expect him to play like Tommy Clufetos,
but...

The solos I've seen are getting more entertaining, and the crowd digs them.

Watched the hell out of this.

Forgive me for changing the subject from Steve Smith, but anyone else think that the gentleman in the vid below takes a bit after Mr. Smith?
