Steve is a great teacher at heart...communicator...which is why I think he needs
to do the podcast route...start with drums and get into an episode of west wing
back to drums then where emotions come into playing back into drum heads, etc...

Gavin's thinking on the CPU aspect of playing is what people really dig...his creative
use of architecture reminds me of Peart's using nature to construct drum parts...
that stuff is interesting more than drum details...get both and boom, something to
listen to over again! Steve can unpack that i believe...

OOOPS...double post...price of doing business on a netbook!
Two similar thots on same topic...no delete button so...

Captain Holmes is an excellent instructor...he might be unconscious of
his solid pedagogical method. The ability to connect hard to do...with
most this is there or not, he's got that, the other stuff is easy to learn.
Drummers seem more bent on sharing than other musicians it seems to me.
Youtube makes it think all musicians like to share, hmmm, not so.
With drummers, we don't care what your name is...bro works well,
like dogs we just want to groove together, guitarists are like cats.

I'm sure the cat thing will piss off some guitarists...after all, a cat
only knows how to be a cat.

Lots of videos this year. I watched a couple more Logic tutorials which helped me try new things mixing this one.
Plus working on paradiddle 32nd note stuff has bled into the same principal over 16th note triplets - happening a lot lately (and plenty in this video).

Steve Holmes 2018 = the smoothness of Weckl's technique + Vinnie's rhythmic inventiveness.

New lesson! A simple-ish fill but I think it sounds cool.
