Toto: The Seventh One. First time I realized I had to check out the drummer specifically.
Trilok Gurtu: Believe. His imagination and compositions on this one never fail to amaze me.
Eric Clapton: 24 Nights. Not the blues disc but the pop rock disc with Ferrone on drums. Love the production and the classic hits played by that bunch of people.
Dire Straits: On Every Street
When I had my best drum teacher, I used to ride my bike back and forth over the course of 5-6 summers/winters
about 5 miles each way, to study with him, and I'd listen to this on my way, on Discman. The production is out of this world
and Manu and Jeff delivered some of the most tasteful drumming I ever came across.
On The Virg: Serious Young Insects. Sickest album ever. Native Metal, Alien Hip Hop and Dragon Bones are all masterpieces
Rufus Wainwright: Want One. My fav pop album
Daniel Lanois: Here Is What Is. It continues to profoundly touch me.
