Sorry to hear VC with JB this summer.
Vinnie is much more interesting in an interactive setting, like
what Herbie offiers...musical dialogue, not JB R'n'R.

I dig Vinnie with Jeff. He's so far beyond any Beck drummer and Tal is so much more tasteful, too. As long as I have a job next year I'm going.
Looking forward to the new album. Sounds sweet.

Don't You Ever Wash That Thing on the above post has Chester Thompson and Ralph Humphrey on drums, not Vinnie. I would have been curious to hear Vinnie play that though.
Here's one killer track with a young VInnie:

Really ?

I saw VC with Herbie, that night I have been more impressed by Herbie than Vinnie, but, except 2/3 songs, Herbie's repertoire is kind of weird to me.
But, I saw VC with JB like 3 times, oh my God !!!

I remember one time I could not even go back playing drums for one month so my ass has been kicked big time !!!
Favorite VC live is with JB and Patitucci, that I saw live.
I come from Tain, Vinnie, Omar, Jeff, Fish, Stewart, and many more...

I agree, I've never really dug Vinnie with Herbie. But Vinnie with Beck at Ronnie Scott's? That's ALMOST my all-time favourite Vinnie.

Rodge---this will change your mind.
Listen to July 29 Live @ Marciac.
Listen to the piano solo in Actual Proof....Tell me what you think
of the dialogue b/t Vinnie and Herbie.
Best I've ever heard!

I didn't cry but i laughed hard and piss myself in disbelief! When i first saw this clip many moons ago i couldn't believe what I just saw. First off Guitar Shop is a brilliant album! Terry plays great on the album. Vinnie just go bonkers here. It's a big crowd so they all step up the game. I would be scared to play with Vinnie on stage.
