Posting here as didn't want to start a new thread. I need a few words in terms of advice in buying the Pearl Steve Ferrone brass snare 14x6.5. Originally I wanted Pearl Reference Brass 14x6.5 but that's not something I can afford right now.

It's in a really good condition. What I'm after is crack as well as "body" (hence 6,5 inch). Most likely I will use it with Remo Controlled Sound X. Sometimes maybe I'll need it tuned low and "soggy" at which the guy in the video says the snare is not really good, but I have that Big Fat Snare Drum patch which seems to do the trick on any snare I used it with. Couldn't find much on YT except for one video. Has anyone played it, used it, owned it?

I bought Pearl Ferrone snare around year 2000 and I still use it often. It's a really good snare and works great with Remo CS.
