...meh.

I guess I'm just not really into this sort of music anymore. The drums sound like poo in a box. Can't stand the 'fart'/click sound of the kicks.

That being said, I guess one could argue that it does sound like a 'different' (and that's a very loose term) Dream Theater than Dream Theater with Mike Portnoy. THAT being said, it's still rather bombastic and unnecessary. I got a minute and thirty seconds into the second song. It's just not for me.

These guys should just score video games and fantasy films with dragons.

I hear what your saying Willy. The tunes can be a bit outrageous. I didn't like the bands music with Mike P in the band. I tried and tried to like the music. Just couldn't get into it. Wasn't for me. For some odd reason I love ADTOE. Also dig the new material that just came out. Love Mike M with the band. He fits right in.

After another listen last night the drums sounded like someone playing an electronic kit. Or someone programming all of the drums. Be nice if they were more natural sounding. Maybe when they mixed the album they enhanced the drum sound to much. Meh. It sounds like good prog rock so I will pick it up.

The keys sound like a circus.

Too bad, Jordan has killer technique.

Marco and Virgil have said the same. They weren’t impressed with DT management.

I am personally relieved that Virg didn’t get it.
They’ve castrated Mangini and in the meantime, Virgil has recorded some of his best work: 'In This Life', 'The Dawn Of Time', Icefish: 'Human Hardware' and 'Ruination' while also collaborating with peeps like Evan Marien on stuff like this:

WTF.

>>>

Marco Minemann:

"I didn't want to be really shown in the video."

"I didn't want to be part of this package."

"They promised me actually...the management promised me to say if I don't wanna be shown they would take it off. But it came out very well...but I said still like 'ahhh, you know, let's not put it out' but they just decided hmm..."

"It was bad."
