You can hear where Bonham took some, a lot, of influence for Moby Dick.

To prove the point...catch how Buddy "kicks it up a notch" after the tenor sax solo for the shout chorus. Sax solo starts @ 2:46.
(The whole thing is worth listening to because some of the images that flash on the screen during playback are quite nice...some I haven't seen before).


What has always impressed me even more than Buddy's chops were his fire and intensity.
When in doubt...roll.

Always the character...these interview clips an insight to
Buddy's personality...nice Tonight Show performance as well.
His crossovers are ridiculous...the way he sneaks his arm around
to the floor tom...crazy talented.
