Got Blushda?
Re: Quarantine Chatty!
I havent heard this show before. Neil wasn't the rhythm machine he would become back then, but he is energetic and hitting hard. Geddy's vox sound strained.
Cool groove.

This is included with the recent special release of Permanent Waves. They didn't play Hemispheres again after this tour. When they recorded the record, they didn't realize until Geddy went to sing it that the keys were all too high. It was very difficult for him to sing.
As for Neil, I think this was the second tour of theirs that I saw live. For me, the music and his drumming were almost at their apex. After Signals, I completely lost interest.
Re: Quarantine Chatty!
I first saw them in 1983, Signals tour, Pittsburgh. Changed me forever, saw them 40 more times, never a bad show, some were better for sure. They seemed to have a vibe for outdoor shows in the east.
Haven't seen this before. His time was crazy.

The Porcaro vid back in the day...on HOD was the HOT pre-Internet
find. Internet was around but no Youtube...I think we were mailing
each other this...that was how we shared...life changed and I kinda
miss the SPECIAL aspect of a FIND...today it is another cool video
then bounce...this was months in the running to finally get to see it.
For the younger cats who wonder what the Rodney King Riots were
like...now you got an idea! Same feel to me...
Radioactive full LP...1991 recording session for above video
@34:00 to hear the final mix of that first groove
One of Jeff's sickest, smoothest, deepest shuffle grooves...
little bro Mike killed it on bass...so satisfying

Like the Steve Smith fill in that Journey tune off Frontiers...
THAT fill which makes an already perfect groove make you
hit the practice room...end of tune fill here...I have taken
this, tweaked it...burned into my brain since the late 80s!

June 16th marks the 44th anniversary of the Soweto Uprising, celebrated as Youth Day in South Africa, when thousands of demonstrating school children were met with armed resistance. A photograph of mortally wounded Hector Pieterson and his sister shocked the world.
