I take a stab at Holdsworth music from time to time with 2 buddies of mine (one in CO and another in FL). They both came to IL in Oct where we recorded this live at my house. When Ross got back to CO to mix, the hard disc recorder glitched and the drum tracks were lost, SO I had to re-record (and video) using Logic, my part. It was difficult as we didn’t use a click. I had to play to a track where the bass player was solid/on the beat, while the keys were ahead, AND create some exciting interplay during the solos. I learned a lot having to overdub this. I hope you enjoy.

Thanks, Pocket. It's seriously hard shit to play. Prob the hardest, most challenging music I'VE ever tried to play along with and memorize. Sound is all Logic and my mixing. Gotta say, I like mixing as much as playing. Hats are 14" Sabian Stage Hats. Nothing special, but they work for me.

A couple originals by the same trio-
Oak Customs sound pretty great here with coated single ply Aquarian’s, as do the Istanbul Xist Crashes and Splashes. Ride is a Paiste 20” Dimensions Dry. (I’m a BIG fan of the Xist stuff. They seem to be the perfect weight and feel for me.) Anybody else using them? If not, I suggest you go hit some. Nice price too.
Snare is a 68” Ludwig Supra on Cubanism and a Noble&Cooley SS on Telstar.
Have a very good weekend, everybody, and thanks for watching.
