I usually do not dig Dave's solos from a pure emotional perspective, but this one had more
space to breath. His cymbals, especially the crash above the hats are almost perfect
in tone for me. Crafting a great solo is more about composition than blowing imo.
Funny how this topic of composition rarely emerges in drum chat. I always remember
the section in MD back in the late 80's, early 90's that had the artist profile facts sheet.
One of the comments was on influence. Bozzio said his main influence was Stravinsky.
That got my attention.

Over a sequenced vamp (from some tune I don´t remember)
Use your headphones...
Maybe the other video parts come too soon.
Other drummers videos are available, from the same youtube poster.

Yeah same vamp as here :
Both solos (Weckl and Rosenblatt) are incredible.

These perfect video camera angles (90º) make me think...
Is Dave sitting higher than he did in the recent past (drum chair) ?
One more clip... I LIKE IT A LOT.

Yes Lucas.
And it seems that if he keeps working hard, someday he will know how to apply a couple of rudiments..gif)

Just in case someone kindly suggests "DELETE THE VIDEOS", I´ve downloaded them, because...
ALL THE CLIPS HAVE BEEN ALREADY UPLOADED. :P
A lot of footage:
The video Nº2 is lovely: from brushes to 7/8 with the audience.
