Re: YOUR PRACTICE SOUND - HEADPHONES
Has anyone ever used the
AKG 141
OR
AKG 141 MKII
I've seen many drummers and other studio players wearing these and I need to replace my broken Vic Firth phones. My only doubt is do these AKG have outside sound isolation like say the Vic Firth or the Metrophone Studiokans do?

Re: YOUR PRACTICE SOUND - HEADPHONES
Thanks everyone.
I´ve purchased SHURE IN EAR SE 425
http://www.thomann.de/ie/shure_se425_k.htm
And I completed my purchase with MOOGEL DAMPER ( I´ve never used it )
http://www.thomann.de/es/smile_moongel.htm
As soon as I get the phones, I will make a short review.

Re: YOUR PRACTICE SOUND - HEADPHONES
Looking forward to reading the review Juan. If anybody has tried the AKG phones I mentioned above please let me know what you think as I have the opportunity to pick up a cheap pair!
Re: YOUR PRACTICE SOUND - HEADPHONES
I played my drums wide open for years but Moongel works so well I actually enjoy playing around with muffling. I just did another 8 hours of constant use from my Shure inears on the bus. I love them. Hopefully they fit YOUR ears and you like their sound.
Re: YOUR PRACTICE SOUND - HEADPHONES
Hey guys, I am running out of time (literally hours) to pick up this deal on these headphones:
If someone has used them, could they please comment on whether they are suitable as sound isolation headphones to play along to tracks on the drums. Will they be like Metrophones/GK Ultraphones/Vic Firth's?

Re: YOUR PRACTICE SOUND - HEADPHONES
I've used all kinds of AKG phones in studios but I'm not sure what model they were. I think those are just regular headphones. They'll sound great but won't block much outside "noise".

Cool, thanks!
