Even more Gergo Borlai
Re: Even more Gergo Borlai
Those 32nds are killer. I can't even play singles that fast on a pad, and I don't think my hands are poor. I sit to practice and I never work on stuff like that because it takes SO MUCH time and I have no shortage of other stuff to work in, but then I hear Gergo rip off those fills and I wish I would spend more time on it!

Don't get me wrong, I love this music(sounds like Scott Kinsey and company) and the drumming too for that matter but is it me or can't Europeans play straight ahead Jazz. I mean this music is totally calling for some PHAT triplets and gergo, although his playing is great has really tight, small triplets. I think if Gergo did his own version of somebody like Elvin Jones for this tune it would just about be right. The Jazz Nazi has left the building...
"Ding ding da ding." Apollo teaching Rocky how to Jazz.

Weckl wore out the triplets. There's an international shortage. Gergo is making due with what's left.

That song has got to hold the record for most notes ever! He was blowing pretty much the entire tune. Impressive, yes. Didn't dig the tune at all though.
I did laugh when he went into the blast beat.

Yeah Gergo is killing on there..he has to be careful..there's too much stuff of him too fast. People lose track and stop losing interesting if they think they can watch new vids at anytime.

Yeah, but the others were like, "Oh, this is interesting and cool." This one is drum porn of a fairly unprecedented nature.

Re: Even more Gergo Borlai
I just dropped by to add one more comment after multiple viewings: Gergo is the master of many things and his playing here is mostly flawless and awe-inspiring, but Gergo so does not own the ladder fill and should probably take it out of his repertoire until he does.
Anyone else notice drummers going to this fill without quite owning it?
