I know Todd uses this board so this is no way an ass sucking device here. But I have to say, he's perhaps one of the most genuine and humble gents to play our instrument.

I was lucky enough to get a meet n greet from him at Styx's show in Glasgow and he must have spent a good 30 - 45 mins with my friend and I. Warm, charming, funny as hell and just loves what he is doing.

This was all after playing his ASS off for Styx's show. Tremendous!

I will whole-heartedly second that, as I know most others will, too.

Todd was very gracious to me, my wife, and friends after talking on this forum a few years ago...setting up after-show passes...and he brought beer! This was a show where they had to ride their tour bus in Southern California traffic to the Pechanga casino resort for hours, so they didn't have much time for soundcheck/relaxation time.

Todd's one of those rare guys you can really call a friend after a short hang...love that. Todd is a great role model for how to treat fans...especially fellow drummers.

I will second the great things that have been said about Todd. We met at a Day of Percussion event and I dropped the HOD name and got a hug for my efforts. Made my year to meet such a down to earth guy and monster of a player.

This is no small topic here, that being Todd's or another graciousness on a CONSISTENT basis be it a clinic, before or after a gig, NAMM, Starbucks...

I think we all can feel that if a player is of marginal talent or success his friendliness is expected, but if one achieves a high degree of success, then there is a dividing wall between them and all of us mere mortals. Living in LA or NY is very different here because we see "stars" more than most.

What I dig about Todd is he GETS IT...he seems to be one of those rare cats that appreciates his success and is living in the moment of it rather than looking back like a father who enjoys his kids while they are growing up and avoids the Cat in the Cradle syndrome.

Todd, you should be one who has voice as one living from the inside-out. A talented man who has both strong head-heart connection is very rare.

Much agreed! The thing I love most about Todd's playing is, watching him inspires me to play, and also inspires me to become better at the instrument. Which, of course, is a trademark of the greats.

The Methods and Mechanics DVD is in constant rotation. Hell, I even let one of my percussionists, my conga player, borrow it. He got hooked on it! The thing he told me he liked best about it was that not only is Todd a burning player, but he has an incredible attitude.
