Sadly, you do...and it ain't cheap.
Even if you are a member, the videos don't download easily...
Shame really, 'cause I bet Sting's team has lots of footage of Vinnie rehearsing with Sting over the years, which to my mind would be far more interesting than just concert footage. Some of the stuff on Sting;s ipad app is good though, but again, there must be far more to look at.
I've been listening again to the Timothy White Chicago sessions from 91 and 93, and Vinnie's drums and cymbals sound so great in this stripped-down setting: even better are the Unplugged rehearsals....lots of jaw dropping hi hat noodling while soundchecking; stunning snare warm ups; groove practicing......you name it -it's on there...including Sting's request: " Vinnie, see this cymbal??...move it!!!" then..."if you were a real jazz drummer, it'd be behind you!"

I agree totally about the Chicago sessions CD. I used to listen to it daily.
I'd like to hear that Unplugged rehearsal. I love Vinnie's performance on the show/DVD. I wonder if they know they would make a TON if they released the Soul Cages VHS on DVD?

Give me a little while - I have it on a hard drive somewhere, and it might take a while to find it, then we can decide how to share it

I have the tunes (Chicago Sessions), but not the rehearsals.
I would like to give it a listen, or two.

Juan...it won't be a problem once I locate it on whichever hard drive it is

The rehearsals are from the 91 Unplugged show, when Sting chose to use Vinx on percussion and vocals

which sometimes obscures the sheer genius going on elsewhere
I saw a video of Vinx somewhere where he claims that Sting (actually it was Miles Copeland) stiffed him out of a large sum of money after touring with him.
