T-Bo just got a sweet new cam so we want to try a 2-cam thing in there. Maybe a lesson or something. Should be fun! (BTW he was the camera guy on the original blushda vid years ago).

Sounds great! Steve can you talk about your bass drum sound in the vid for a second? Great thump and attack. What kind of beater surface (plastic, felt??)- what kind and how much muffling - and the kind of heads/do you use one of those flampatchy-thingys. Thanks for any info. I just got a set of the Recording Customs but maybe I should have got the PHX's huh? ha

Much better now.
It has more clarity, better sound articulation and it sounds big.
What sound adjustments/changes did you do from your previous videos ?

I'm not just saying this but the tom sound reminded me at times of 'Against the Clock'.

Thanks guys - honestly I just kept messing with mixing with garage band until I found things that worked for my ears. Some low EQ on the kick and FT are key to give them the thunder I like. I'm using a "classical warm" compression preset on the master track which makes a large difference. Adjust levels and panning, that's pretty much it. In hind sight standard panning is backwards for this vid due to the angle, I should have reversed it but whatever.

Those are just R llrr L rrll etc.... that sticking over 8th note trips, or 16ths works well (double stroke = 2x the subdivision you're playing).

Really it's nothing fancy. Stock head. Standard beater (Yamaha pedal). I actually have a bathroom rug in there because I like the rubber bottom, keeps from moving around. There is a patch on there (comes with the head). The head is over a year old at this point (all my heads need changing).
I played RC's for over 10 years. They are awesome drums. Still have them
