Do you mean the ladder lick? Or that's what it sounds like he's doing to me. Some variation of:

right hand + right foot + left hand + left foot

Frank it's hard to tell which lick you mean at 5:52 as he's pretty much blowing all over the place.

Man Vinnie kills it on "Rub the stone"....the hi hat work which starts at 3:30 -_-

at 5:52 he's playing singles on the snare and toms intermixed with 2 notes on the feet. almost like trading doubles but a lil more creative. sounds to me like a phrase of 7 or 9. 3 on the snare, 2 on the tom, 2 on the feet, 3 on the snare, 2 on feet, 2 on the tom, 2 on the feet, etc

at 5:58 he's playing a ladder fill broken around the toms.

I was referring to the snare fill that goes into the ladder. It sounds like doubles, but not just doubles. Anyone that can help with just that would be great.

It sounds like just doubles to me, albeit Vinnie's very clean and insanely fast doubles.
