I haven't used them (I'm a traditional practice pad kinda guy)...but here's the link to the VF page https://vicfirth.zildjian.com/gear/acce ... -tips.html. They're $5.99 for 2 pair. You can order them straight from VF or they are available at Guitar Center...I'm sure that they are available other places as well.Pocketplayer wrote:Anyone use those rubber tips Gadd loves and promotes?

Throwback, he had some seriously quick and accurate hands.

Re: Mr. Gadd
I've had those rubber tips since they came out.
Heavy enough to change the balance of the stick fairly substantially, so I'm not really a fan, but they'll do in a pinch.
Unlike Steve I can afford a couple of pads to keep here and there.

The contrast between Steve and Dave is pretty significant in style...
with Steve the grooves are more "traditional and laid back" pre-electric
band era...Steve plays with much more space...both of course work well

A couple of guys playing some of the exercises.

I'm sure Dave and Vinnie got their copies. They would probably play them closer to the way Steve would as far as phrasing and coloring. I wonder if Dave would post any examples. Vinnie? Nah...but one can dream, can't one?
From what I understand the book comes with a DVD of Steve playing the exercises. That's what I'm really looking forward to seeing. The book is supposed to ship to us "mere mortals" around June 8th according to the email I got from Hudson Music.

Even though I already have his old VHS tape where he's seems to be a lil' sauced up explaining/playing his licks - I'm curious to see what his book brings to the table...
