Phil Collins still holds the standard for concert tom set ups...

I must confess that he looks fake to me, but as I don't know him personally, I'd just say that he's an incredible drummer.

I just can't take that super reaching high thing seriously. It's ridiculous.
Mangini has been working for a looong time in successful bands. Respect for that.
I don't care for what he plays or how he looks when playing it personally.
It's funny, I'm a fan of DT but I think the drumming is my least favorite part of them, with Portnoy and MM. I've seen them live several times, and am inanimately familiar with Images, Awake, and Metropolis Pt 2.

Love the Mangini reaching for the stars drum kit vibe. Saw that tour live at the Wiltern. It's fun. Why the hate? I like MM playing in DT better than MP. I like the direction of the music since MM joined the band. Don't dig the MP years - great playing and writing give him credit. Flying Colors. Neal Morse, Sons of Apollo, The Winery Dogs and so forth. Liquid Tension Experiment has a new album coming out soon.
