Ivan Lins' Cantor da Noite -- by violinist Caroline Campbell with pianist Randy Waldman, the late Dave Carpenter on bass and Colaiuta. Campbell admitted to Waldman that she is not much of an improviser, so he wrote out a solo for her. Obviously, Colaiuta didn't require any such assistance for his solo which begins around 1:40.

Why release a "jazz" album when you can't improvise? I guess no one tells a smoking hot lady she shouldn't do something. Although the album is called "Jazz Explorations" not "I'm Super Good At Jazz!!!" Ah, well... that's showbusiness for ya!
side note, "I'm Super Good At Jazz" is a great album name. I could Imagine Thundercat doing that.
