Re: Dream Theater
What I just noticed and did not notice before was, if you check out the drums in the background, it looks to me like he was already working on the DT setup. Check out the octobans that are way up in the air. Unless he'd used those up at that height previously, but I'm not sure I recall seeing him with them set up that way prior to now.
Re: Dream Theater
Yeah, that superduper surprise phone call from the men in DT did seem kinda staged.

Re: Dream Theater
I'm guessing that if one was to prepare for a DT audition, the best way would be to set up your kit to reproduce the voices heard on the recordings? c'mon its so simple. lol, this is turning all JFK ...we're all so synical and so fast to point out the 'real truth'.

Re: Dream Theater
Mangini has the Dream Theater signature trademark symbol on his drums already, in that picture-- the greek letter "phi". I don't think that would be on there unless he already got the gig.
Re: Dream Theater
That's Mike's signature Pearl snare drum. It's always had that symbol on it - way before any of this Dream Theater stuff happened.littlegrooves wrote:Mangini has the Dream Theater signature trademark symbol on his drums already, in that picture-- the greek letter "phi". Whoa... so this has been in the works for years. The (conspiracy) plot thickens...
