Yeah that clip is pretty insane, in the middle when he does the 2-note groupings bashing on the ride.
Also is it me or does Vinnie lose the band at least once in almost every one of these actual proof solos?

I had that same thought Steve. I can't discern, usually because of the poor quality and lack of context, whether it's Vinnie or the band's fault!

I think James on bass is pretty tight, but yeah Herbie is always a little bit lost on that part.
Well, when Vinnie plays his shit, it's not that easy to hold the beat. :-)

But Vinnie's fault ? No way.

Question, do you think he should hold his way of playing to secure the hits ?
Me I don't think so, it's the way he plays, and it's Jazz seeting so, let's go !!! :-)
