Mark is very right- I do see both sides of the story...

Being a fan of Vinnie whenever I had the chance to see him I wouldn't even attempt to video anything because I wouldn't want to be "that guy" that tips Vinnie over the edge.

I actually noticed that they were not bright and shiny A Customs... I figured they were regular A's, though he seems to be using some more K's (at least crashes) in recent footage.

The point of my original post was not "Vinnie is in the wrong," but more: "Vinnie is going to spend a lot of concerts angry if he's going to get angry every time someone films him." For better or worse, we live in a world where this is going to happen.

To think that you can be both (a) hero to the drum geekery, and (b) in the chair for Sting, and then that this type of thing *won't* happen, is just setting yourself up for disappointment.

Doesn't Vic Firth make the Zildjian stick anyway? Likely they'd just start making his signature model under the other brand.

I noticed that those cymbals didn't like the usual ones... After all of this talk about what drum company he's moving to, it would be funny if it ended up being a cymbal brand change...

I'll admit that I've dug all of the bootleg Vinnie vids over the years, but if he doesn't like to be taped, then I'd leave the camera at home...
