You're probably thinking of Gary Mallaber, who played drums on all of Steve Miller's biggest hits. He also played on Eddie Money's big hits. Gary played some of the coolest pop/rock drums ever!

No, Gordy is a monster player too!

Mallaber's career has been pretty remarkable. Jeezus, everyone has heard his stuff.

On another note, I learned of another great player shuffling off this mortal coil. Ted Reinhardt from New York, passed away in a plane crash earlier this year. He played with Gamalon, a fuzoid band that had some cool records out. I used to hear them on WDET in Detroit a lot. I loved hearing his playing, pretty muscular and confident, but inventive.

This guys kills !!!
He plays on that album where Vinnie is, well...
Vinnie was using Gordy's drums for that session.

But here Gordy playing this great groove, guitar solo is nice too !!!
