Most Essential Drum Books?

What's the best double bass book/concept you guys have seen? I've used Joe Franco's book, it's basic double bass, if I use Gavin's substitutions and some of my own ideas I can make it more difficult. I have Virgil's book but haven't really practiced anything in it. Some of the stuff looks crazy. Is Virgil's book the best?

Virgil used to go through Colin Bailey's book with his left foot, just to get it going, when he
got into double bass drum playing. That's a good (and hard) way to start.

Virgil's book is, though, very thorough and will take you places if you dedicate yourself to it.

It's weird that no one has mentioned this genius. I mean, some of the best jazz coordination exercises and transcriptions around.

I also love Accents and Rebounds for more of a challenge in sticking exercises.
