Why not just sell it as it is, a student of Mike's wants to make a video about him? Anyway the whole thing's quite tiring, the relentless marketing thing...
I just made a story about somebody that inspires me, and I was very happy about the result. After all isn't what it's all about, either in music or filmmaking... to connect and share ideas.
Do what you love and share it. If somebody approached you because they loved your work and wanted to make a video about it. Would you turn them down because it would be too self-promoting yourself in a way? to that point, should you take down the 2 links in your signature, the one to your teaching website and your soundcloud page? Should you take down your website as well? I don't think so, do what you love and share it.
Alright, on that note, I am out of here. I wasn't a HOD member, I signed up just to clarify one point but I may have made it worst. I kind of had the feeling that engaging this kind of thread could be a mistake, in a way...
Have a great day everyone!
