Re: Letterman drum solo week II
I'm trying to think of a few drummers who subbed on Letterman, Alan Schwartzberg, Keltner?
I'd love to see Steve Jordan break out those baby blue Yamahas and some Colorsounds.

At the end of his performance, when everybody together with Dave is clapping, Dennis seems to be thinking "You fools, who know shit all about drumming..."

My week #3:
- Vinnie
- Virgil
- Dave W.
- Billy
- and I think for sheer entertainment for the audience, how about Dom Famularo

The band is not that hot surprisingly... Maybe it´s late and I need fresh ears but that´s one of the most unappealing Dennis solos I´ve heard in a long time...
What I liked about the whole thing (double bass abuses aside) is that everyone played their own distintive style...
It´s hard no to think what would happen if Vinnie (or Dave) would be a part of it... Vinnie would deliver something magnificent, timeless, profound... I just love the man!.gif)
btw, Bravo Gavin, nicely done!

Well...I agree....it felt like he went into auto Dennis mode at 1:47, 2:04....like pushing a button.
Re: Letterman drum solo week II
David Letterman said a couple of times in the intros to this week's spots, something like" we started drum solo week with our very own fantastic Anton Fig, and now...."
Did Anton do a solo at the start of this second week, and if so , where can it be seen?

Dennis:
Great sound but for me, bad selection of "drums parts" played.
If Dennis´s doctor hasn´t prescribed to him THE chewing gun, please, someone tell him that it´s not a beautiful habit for an artist on stage..gif)

No way...
I thought it was tasty and restrained. It made me feel like Dennis is beyond his chop now and didn't feel like trying going Tunguska on it. It was musical.
