He's waiting for his new Slingerland drums to be sent out to him in Europe, but the weather has delayed their shipment.

DSOP any ideas as to which series? wow i never heard oof these drums in a long long time... last time was when peart was using them like 20 yrs agoish....

I don't get it. Slingerland may as well be a start-up. Gibson tried to revive the brand about 10 years ago and failed, which was disappointing because they made their own shells. Gibson certainly has the size and expertise to provide quality A/r, but I have to wonder specifically how Slingerland will be able to serve him without their drums being widely distributed.

Sorry guys, I was totally kidding about Slingerland. I thought that would have been obvious, but apparently not. I actually contacted Gibson about a year ago to see what they were going to do with Slingerland, and they replied "we have no plans at this time".

As for Vinnie, I honestly don't know what he's gonna do.
