Don't get me wrong- the few times I've met and interacted with Vinnie he was a really outgoing and fun person and obviously I love his playing...

...but is he really so naive to think that people aren't going to record bootlegs or take video with their phone or whatever?! I mean, there's little way to escape it- maybe he feels like a monkey in a cage when people are gawking and filming JUST his playing but obviously there are people at the gig sitting there and gawking at him JUST for his playing. I don't get it...

It's 2012, there are cameras in your breakfast cereal. He needs to pick another hill to die on.

Lucas, that might be the hardest Ive ever laughed at a post on HoD. Kudos.

As for Vinnie? What are we gonna say? Sort of stabbing a baby, what is he gonna do that will get us tostop watching/listening/stalking ? Probably nothing. I still can't believe though that he would get upset that people would come to only see him. I love Jeff Beck, but my wife and I went to the show to see Vinnie. And we have seen Sting before, but if we go this summer, it will be to see Vinnie play those songs with Sting. Or actually to see Sting play those songs with him, hahaha.

It really is kinda scary that he can still play so brilliantly while being so preoccupied with the camera.

Anyone notice how far away the snare drum and hi hat mics are? Weird?

They're positioned fine as far as I'm concerend. I'm surprised no one has noticed something even more interesting...
