Really fun music here. It's striking how much Mark relies on a sort of closed (German?) grip and fingers alone to control rebound - w a locked wrist ... whereas Weckl emphasizes a much looser grip, utilizing fingers w lots of whipping wrist motion.

Beautiful playing by all. Though that technique is just painful to watch, you can totally hear the tension in the notes. They sound like he looks playing.
