it really is a shame he has not put ou this own DVD....just for an official peek into his thoughts etc...

Youtube changes the landscape here...we get non-scripted insights w/o a producer working for a company.
How many vids does it take to make an instructional video? We have more than enough if you link and edit
them together...hmmm, that's a project. Can't believe it hasn't been done...live playing, clinics, interviews...
would either force VC to make one or just quit playing altogether! lol

Why should he bother? It would just end up on file sharing sites. And YouTube can go fuck themselves for ripping off everyone while they rake in the dough. Without all that illegal content, all you'd have is a bunch of kitten videos.

YouTube can go fuck themselves? Would you and the rest of the planet prefer the latter. Where is the emotion with the yellow character smoking a J. Dude your way intense.

DSOP needs a long over do vacation with a horny hot 24 year old Argentina chick that has a body that can kill a NYC over grown rat upon first glance. just playin. Got nuthin.

You're not kiddin'....

My main beef with YouTube is that they force content creators (owners) to do the policing. The onus is on the copyright owner to prove it's theirs, before YouTube will take down posted video. What a total retarded joke. By then, it's already spread like a fucking virus. YouTube should force anyone uploading to prove the content is theirs without a shadow of a doubt, AND, anyone found violating someone else's rights should be fined some PAINFUL amount and denied access to the site forever (enforced via retina scan). :)

Next, get rid of the advertising bullshit, and force everyone to pay a subscription fee to access YouTube. Then, distribute 90% of all proceeds to the people who UPLOAD content (based on amount of video streamed). Videos with less than 100 views per month get removed automatically.

That´s SO untrue. Tons of musicians and artists from all over the world use the tube to promote/share their thing.
I agree there´s a pending debate about youtube, but going that further is not necessary...

Great philosophy - very "Kenny Werner" about mistakes etc. It's funny I had a flashback to about 2004/ 2005 when I first got an IPod and had this clinic on and was walking home from my drum lesson (might've been the Germany one actually... No it was both back to back... sorry stream of consciousness or what???) and was at a point in my development where I could NOT work out the Garibaldi stuff let alone the poly stuff... The concept of thinking in claves hit me hard took a time to gestate and that's why I rave about DiCenso's book (totally agree with the Werner quote "it takes ten years for a lesson to sink in" or something alone those lines).

Either way, it's a real convergence of mindset for me. If I remember correctly (which I don't that well, because this was a time just before or just after I stopped getting "high" much like Vinnie's BD... I wish someone had videos of clinics etc when Vinnie's in "Bill Hicks/ Richard Pryor" mode, I love those moments in life when you're present and stuff like that spills out... Both my grandads and my dad are like that, real dry and spontaneous... I aspire to be half of that!!!!) back when I first heard this I was bandless and started shedding hard.... Then in late '06 when I thought I was the shit cos I knew some odd times and polys I went to Bob Armstrong and got a reality check and had to shed harder hahaha!!!

Before this turns into an essay, long story short I'm at the same kinda place, digesting 3 teachers' worth of concepts (hooked up with Andy Leask for a few months for some pure Moeller so feel very blessed), but I have a practice space/ single room paid up for six months, I've deleted my Facebook to stop getting distracted, I'm living in London now and can jump on the bus and have a "night off" and go to a jam night instead of shedding and listening to this (like someone else said) in a self reflective way realising how much I've come along, it makes me very excited (maybe that's the cappucino I "inhaled!!!" my one vice) and greatful (nice when that happens in a no-bullshit way... not to rag on stuff like The Secret but a lot of people force it and it's my opinion that if that shit's true, you can't fool the Universe) for the place I'm at and like Mr Sucherman would say able to invest in me and not "2 or 3 other knuckleheads..." (and boy have I been doing that too much for the past couple of years) Now I've just got 3 hrs to kill before I can get to my practice space!

P.S. this DID turn into an essay..... sorry, I blame the coffee haha!
