OT: Good Recording Mic for Acoustic Guitar

Back in the states for the holidays. Nice to see rain here in LA. Life in the UAE is a bit
dry in so many ways. lol

Met an amazing singer/songwriter overseas and we want to record some of his tunes
just with acoustic guitar. I live in an apt that has marble floors and cement walls.
The sound quality really is great for recording...kinda like the ultimate bathroom.

Wondered if any could chime in on a decent mic and recorder...maybe any recording
tips in such an open room.

Any budding producers out there with advice?
