Wow really nice. DSOP and others...would you consider it "wacky" to have a zildjian cymbal set up (which I do) but then have a Paiste ride thrown in the mix........would they...should they blend. That 22 dark crisp is calling me

Should be fine, depending on which models of Zildjians you've got going on. Listen to the sound files on the Paiste website and on mycymbal.com to get a better idea.

By and large I play A Custom crashes...master sound or new beat hats....special dry ride / sweet ride. I can not for the life of me find a Zildjian ride I'm super crazy about....

Only if you endorse Zildjian. Otherwise, you should always obey your ears, not the logo on the cymbal. Even when you're playing some brand exclusively there's nothing wrong with having some specific part that you won't find in "your" catalog. You just take the logo off it.

Soundest advice. I work in a drum store and the amount of guys who come in and are like 'I'm just a zildjian guy' or 'I'm just a meinl guy' or whatever is huge. At time they won't even listen so something else that might sound a.) Better and b.) Like it fits in their set up regardless of brand.

I often suggest that when you get dressed, do you just wear clothes from the same store? It's not really the same thing I know but the point is still there....

The guys instore saw the Paiste Masters at MusikMesse l;ast week and were knocked out. By all accounts they sound amazing!

So I went to pick up a 22" Twenty Masters Dark Crisp Ride last week, and instead, I ended up grabbing a 22" Twenty Masters Dark Ride and a 20" Twenty Masters Dark Crash Ride.

I tried a few of each, and the Dark Crisp wasn't as nice as my Dark Energy Mark 2 and was actually a bit thinner sounding. The Dark Ride knocked my socks off, and the Dark Crash Ride is really nice. I finally got a chance to really play them yesterday, and I swear these cymbals have some juju in them. I was playing shit in the vein of Bill Stewart like nobody's business! (well, in my head anyway)

Check these cymbals out when you get a chance. I think they would work well in ANY setup (as long as you're going for a dark and dirty jazzy thing).
