OT: Hotels in LA

I have to book a hotel in LA near the Convention center. There's not much left in the conference affiliated ones.
Can you LA guys tell me which of these is in a nice area with good restaurants/clubs within walking distance? Or other suggestions. Thanks.

Booked the Wilshire Grand.

Got a late travel expense autorisation and by then not much was left and the Standard was full.
Too bad, it looked cool with all this modern/high tech stuff, the rooftop pool and turf bar with vibrating waterbed pods...

You can still go there (rooftop, that is). It's kind of fun. Sometimes they show movies on the wall of the building across the street so you can see them from the rooftop. The food is pretty good too.

Enter from the small parking lot. There will be a doorman. Then walk through the doors to the elevator. I can't recall if there's a cover charge. Might be $20.
