Virgil is really in the zone with his current live band. The fact that these guys can play the material
from 'In This Life' live is pretty amazing. Covering classic Holdsworth material too.

The music and playing is good all around...but those drums. UGH. No warmth or depth or tone coming from them. Eesh.

While I agree with the general observation, I also think the toms are very low in the mix as such, which makes them hard to detect.
Historically I haven't been convinced by DWs. The snare seems to be doing the job and the bd, although low in the mix too, likewise.

Anyway Crawford is absolutely kicking ass as a bassist, he's right there rhythmically but of course dealing with the harmonic element too!
