I've also heard that Tony could be pretty vicious to techs...In Tony's Memorial MD issue, Tony's tech told about how Tony had flipped out that he had brought the wrong Zildjian cymbals...It sounded like he didn't care that it was the last time he saw him alive, IMO.

And the rest of the story (the point of him telling the story) was that after he had brought Tony's A Customs to the studio instead of his K's, and Tony flipped out, Tony came up to him later and apologized and thanked him for bringing new ones instead of his old ones because it would force him to branch out and play differently.

A Tony apologist I am not, but just wanted to set the record straight.

Loved Bev Bevan's sound. So 70s, and a little touch of swing and shuffle. Definitely influenced by Ringo. I view them as one of the top-tier drumming gigs of all time.

It's funny, those songs were on the radio constantly when I was a kid, and today, they'd never ever get on at all. ELO wouldn't exist.
